BIBLE VERSIONS

Is Your Bible Missing Something?

Should you trust a Bible that omits Acts 8:37? Or makes Jesus a liar in John 7:8-10? Or suggests in 1 Corinthians 1:18 that you are not really saved but just “being saved” (Roman Catholic theology)?

If you own a modern Bible you need to look carefully and see if it contains these defects. If it does, it is because of Satan’s plan “B”.

Satan's Plan "B"

We have all heard of the horrors of the inquisition. People torched at the stake for believing what God said. Bibles piled up and burned. Satan had a heyday. But when it stopped, what did the Devil do?

Did he give up trying to destroy God’s words? Not likely. When we take a closer look, we find he simply went back to his main weapon —doubt.

Trust or Doubt?

His first (and continual) trick was to raise doubt in Eve’s mind. And that is his current plan “B” to make you and I doubt our Bibles.

Our trust in our Bible means trusting a history. We have to believe that the words in our language mean exactly what God originally said. We must trust the faithfulness of the scholars who translated and copied the copies that we have.

And this is where Satan made his new attack on the Bible. He found apostate scholars willing to twist God’s words to his own diabolical agenda.

Let's "Fix" the Bible

The opening came when someone suggested that the English Bible needed “fixing.” Satan spread the word that it was obsolete because of its archaic language. It was too hard to learn to read the beautiful classic English of the Bible authorized by King James. An update was needed.

Counterfeit Manuscripts

That way they could introduce some “newly discovered” counterfeit manuscripts into the process. Satan called in his counterfeit church, the same one that tried to burn all the Bibles and torch all the Bible believers. Jesuit operatives began infiltrating the Bible societies assigned to “fix” the Bible. Sinaiticus and Vaticanus, two Bible manuscripts that scholars claim are “oldest and best,” seemingly appeared out of nowhere.

Now, 100 years later, Satan’s new plan is firmly installed. Dozens of defective Bible versions bewilder the people who increasingly turn to their pastors instead of the Bible for their source of truth.

And the stakes are high, Brothers and Sisters. History shows us, when someone stops trusting and reading the King James Bible, no other Bible takes its place. A 2014 survey (Christianitytoday.com) shows that once people switch to another Bible, the vast majority stop regular reading, and trusting their new Bible. They spend more time carrying it to church than they do reading it. They are unsure of what the Bible says, and their doctrine starts drifting.

Why?

Because, if they stop to think about it, where are they going to find God's words? They no longer have a final authority. The same survey indicated that the King James was the preferred version of those who actually spent time studying their Bible.

When you don't trust your book, you begin to trust people, usually the people in your church. It may be your pastor, the leaders of your denomination, scholars, or publishers. But people are imperfect. Without a book to judge them by, Satan can easily slip error your way.

Author and Bible researcher, David W. Daniels, has exposed Satan‘s plan B using information only available through modern research techniques. How Satan is pulling it off is an intriguing look at a dark chapter of the war we are in.

Over the years, Chick Publications has continued to research the Bible Version issue. As the research developed, Chick published articles and books illustrating this plot against God's words. The articles can be accessed freely through this web page.
