What Are Gospel Publishers Hiding?

By David W. Daniels

I am happy to see that various Bible publishers have been coming up with new printings of the King James Bible: King James reference Bibles, King James Study Bibles, and with higher prices on leather, they are coming up with great substitutes that hold together pretty well. But there is a limit to that. And there is something these publishers are hiding.

I`ve got a number of King James Study Bibles that came out recently. But most of them have anti-King James, Bible-doubting footnotes! Why? Because they don`t believe the KJV is God`s preserved words, and they don`t want YOU to, either. Why?

Because if you did trust the KJV, then they couldn`t sell us all the NEW Bible translations they are coming out with, and all their extra materials that go with those versions.

When I got the NIV in Bible college, I then got the NIV Greek-English New Testament. Then I got the NIV Hebrew-English Old Testament, as each section was published. Then they modified the Bible encyclopedias, Bible dictionaries, Bible atlases, all to go with that version.

But a year or two later —Poof! A NEW Bible translation, which means buying all NEW study materials!

Many people buying a King James will get a good quality one and stick with it for years to come. End of sales. But come out with a NEW Bible version, NEW endorsements, new Bible college requirements, the NEW one the pastor has —and there`s a LOT of extra sales!

Here`s something else you need to know. The big Bible companies are NOT owned by Bible-believing people! Zondervan is owned by secular Harper Collins, which is owned by News Corporation, under Rupert Murdoch. In 2003, Thomas Nelson bought World Bible Publishers. In 2012, Thomas Nelson was bought by secular Harper Collins, also under News Corporation, under Rupert Murdoch. That`s 55% of Bibles produced, right there. I don`t need to go any further.

Someone could say, "David, why are you blaming publishers? They didn`t write these books." A publisher decides a book should be published. If it doesn`t contain what they want, they won`t publish it. There`s a lot of business to be had, and getting people to doubt is very profitable. Maybe you never thought about it like that.

1 Timothy 6:10 says, "For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."

2 Corinthians 2:17 says, "For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ."

There is a sinister motive involved in getting us to doubt the King James Bible. It`s so they can make money off us with all the alternate Bibles and Bible materials they can sell. Don`t let them manipulate you into spending all your money on faith-destroying Bibles. Get yourself a good quality King James Bible and put your trust in God`s words.

Trust me. It will pay off in the end.
