Revelation 13:17... It's Getting Closer

"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

"And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name."

Revelation 13:16-17

It does not seem all that unusual when the checkout clerk says, “I’m sorry, but this terminal does not accept cash. Please step over to this other line.” With retail robbery increasing, this seems logical not to have more cash than necessary to make change.

But leaders in the US government are planning to take this to a whole new level. The president recently opened a public discussion about a central bank digital currency (CBDC). This is digital money that eliminates cash that can be drawn in paper bills at the ATM.

The arguments in favor of it include a better way to “control” the illegal movement of money by bad guys. Critics point out that it also gives government control of the good guys when they are defined as bad guys.

Once this digital currency is in place, the government can tell you what you can buy and what you can't. We will no longer be able to go to the ATM or a bank teller and draw paper dollars. All purchases will be made electronically with a debit/credit card or by "tapping" your phone or watch to an electronic payment device.

This eliminates privacy. All purchases and deposits will be open for review by Big Brother.

(Excerpt from, "I See You!")

Earlier this year, American Banker reported that 80% of the nations’ central banks were considering setting up a digital currency (CBDC). Seventeen countries have projects in the pilot phase. The United Nations (UN) is also planning for digital currency through its arm, the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

If the government decides how much fossil fuel you are allowed to put in your car, a limit could be placed on your debit card for all gas station transactions, for example. With cash eliminated, all personal transactions between individuals would have to be digital, which could also be tracked.

Another globalist threat to freedom is a move by the United Nations World Health Organization (WHO) to “coordinate” world-wide response to global health emergencies.

Again, the definitions are the key. An infectious pandemic like COVID-19 would be an “emergency,” but so could “climate change” be labeled a “health threat.”

Opportunities to use climate change for central control are limitless as we have already seen. In any such “crisis,” lockdown mandates like we had with covid would not come from Washington, but from the WHO. And the trustworthiness of the WHO was demonstrated when it went soft on China in the handling of COVID-19.

Another glimpse into the globalist plans comes from the vision of "15-minute cities". These are urban planning concepts in which most daily necessities and services, such as work, shopping, education, healthcare, and leisure can be easily reached by a 15-minute walk or bike ride from any point in the city. But travel outside that area could be restricted by a climate-change limit on your digital rights to purchase fossil fuel.

An example of this could be that you wish to visit your father, who lives 30 miles away. That would require a special permit. But you decide, rather, to trade the permit on the black market for a bag of beans to feed your hungry family.

The Bible is very clear that in the last days powerful men will rise up to take minute control of people's lives. In Revelation chapter 13, normal transactions of life will be limited by permission from authorities.

Of course, suppression of evil is part of the government’s job. But we live in a time when there is a serious distortion of the definition of evil. God’s word speaks of men who call good evil and evil good.

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.”

Proverbs says in 29:2

Until the digital world was born, it was difficult to accept these scriptures as valid. Now the pieces are rapidly falling into place.

Chick publications has several end-time prophecy tracts that were written when Jack Chick foresaw the development of these end times. The most prescient and most popular is called THE BEAST written in the early 1960s.

By relying on scripture, it is even more relevant today.
