Dear ones in Christ,
The other day as we walked into a restaurant, David lifted his smart phone into the air. I asked him, "What are you doing?" He said "I`m finding the name of the song that`s playing." I said, "That`s impossible." Then he did it. He showed me not only the name, but the lyrics in time with the music, and the album it was from!
That made me think of what`s coming. Facebook, Netflix, Google maps, street view —incredible breakthroughs are all around us. So are hidden cameras, people and programs who can "read" our possible thoughts and motives by watching our feet, faces and eyes. They`re pretty accurate at spotting a lie, hatred, even hidden motives. When Boston was bombed, remember how quickly those faces were there on the television? In minutes all sorts of data on the people popped up.
That`s nothing compared to what will happen during the Great Tribulation. The stage is set. It`s right around the corner. Thank God we`ll be gone. Everything we see is being prepared for the Beast. Just imagine the trials people will face, a nightmare of electronic surveillance that will give no place to hide.
God is holding out His restraining hand for one reason. "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." (2 Peter 3:9). As long as we keep handing out gospel tracts, and getting the gospel out in public, the Lord may be merciful and give more time for our loved ones to be saved.
The only eyes we need to fear are the Lord`s. "The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good" (Proverbs 15:3). The Lord will judge all mankind. We need to fear Him and not men, and get the gospel out to them while there is still time.
Yours for the lost,
Jack Chick
