Very few Christians every give any kind of witness to the Muslims that are flooding into America. There are several reasons:
- It has become fashionable to say that Christians and Muslims all worship the same God. After all, they are all monotheistic, aren't they? But this has turned out to simply be a way to stop Christians from witnessing to Muslims. Comparing the attributes of God to those of Allah shows clearly that they are not the same.
- They fear the reaction. With news reports often portraying Muslims as wild, dedicated people who will stop at nothing to attack non-Muslims, Christians all too often "play it safe" and just say nothing. But is it safe? See what God said to Ezekiel in chapter 33:
When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand."
The fact is that many Muslims are not as dedicated to their religion as we thought. Often, they are Muslims because their parents were Muslim, and they are just carrying on the tradition. They lack clear conviction that Islam is even true. (Just like many so-called "Christians"). They have moved to a "Christian" nation and are curious. What do you believe? Are you real, or just a religious hypocrite? Can God really love them, too?
Chick Publications offers a number of resources to help you reach out to these people.
- Tracts - Everyone (including Muslims) likes cartoons. It's a worldwide thing. There are Chick cartoon tracts available offering a variety of approaches to the problem of Islam. Some offer the hope of sins forgiven. Others show that Islam is a false religion that they cannot depend on. Some show the history of Islam, which is unkown to many Muslims. But they all end with a clear call to receive forgiveness and peace from the true God! Pick the one that best fits with your approach, and spread them around.
- We also offer books that go more deeply into the problems surrounding Islam's history, Muhammad and his violence, inconsistencies in the Koran, etc. Always remember: a Muslim knows he is a sinner, unclean before God. But he does not have any way to get his sins forgiven. What we have to offer is so much better. We must not let them down!
