Missions Fund Report January 2025

Thailand

Tens of thousands of Chick tracts in Thai and Burmese have been sent to mountainous areas of northwest Thailand, where ministries connected to Missionary Pat Caspary are reaching people who otherwise would never hear the Gospel. See pictures from their ministry below.

In addition, a total of 30,000 Chick tracts in the Karen language have been delivered to those ministering to the refugee Karen people in Thailand. They are a mountain people of Burma, where they are being hunted by the Burmese military. They often have little beyond the clothes on their backs (and their children) so Missionary Pat Caspary arranges relief supplies (food, personal items) to be packaged with Chick tracts for these persecuted people.

Greece

Missionary Eric Fair, who served for years in Papua New Guinea, has felt called to plant a new work in Greece. He needs 40,000 Greek tracts for a big outreach with Brian Green of Seed for the Cities, followed by long-term work in the area with his own team.

Philippines

After being delayed by congestion caused by this year’s 6 typhoons, the container of 1,446,000 Chick tracts has finally arrived in Manila, and is being unloaded for inter-island shipment to 89 different ministries.

Ecuador

Missionary Lacy Wheeler has requested 400,000 Spanish Chick tracts for a container headed for Ecuador. The 400,000 Chick tracts will cost the Mission Fund only 7 cents apiece, a total of $28,000. Chick Publications will pay the shipping to Tennessee, where the container is being loaded. This is a great missions value!

Japan

This week we shipped another 10,000 Japanese Chick tracts to Missionary E.G. in the Tokyo area, the most populated city on the planet. The back of the tracts show a website with a powerful message of hope and a plea to avoid hell. These people need Jesus!

Kenya

Missionary Nathanael Steinbart received 20,000 Chick tracts in Swahili and English for a November outreach and church plant. He writes: “We saw around 600 individual professions of salvation. Each one was personally dealt with by a member of our church here. Now we are using them for our kids clubs. Each weekend we have three Bible clubs. We are passing them out with a wordless book and some biscuits. They will be passed out to a combined total of around 1,600 children. We are praying that God would use these gifts to reach the children and their families. Thank you so much for sending the tracts. They have been and continue to be a huge help for our ministry.”
