My husband and I are both attorneys. A few months ago, he had a last-minute conflict and asked me to see one of his clients in jail to get documents signed. The client, a young man doing two months for DUI, was depressed. The thought then crept into my head to open the colored Jumbo Comic Pack I had purchased and was saving for my kids. I thought of selecting a few “hit” comics for this man from the jumbo pack but I hesitated. They were not cheap, and I was saving them for our young kids!

My husband (not big on tract distribution in the first place) then said to open it and give it to the young man and he would replace the jumbo pack. So, I did.

I met this client the next day. He surely was depressed and came from a difficult home. After our meeting, I presented him with the comics and asked if he was interested. His eyes lit up! I had selected: Angel of Light, Black Angel, The Force, The Ark, Primal Man, The Exorcist, Alberto, and Broken Cross. I selected these comics because teens, especially the males, seem drawn to the cover pictures.

Just recently, this young man was back in our office after doing his time. He thanked my husband profusely for the comic books. He said all the comic books were worn out after being passed around the jail hall. When his time was done, the other males in the hall begged him to leave them. He did so. He said they had a big impact on him and the other inmates. He could not stop thanking my husband. Pray that the seeds sown here will take root and grow. Also, please do not change a thing about these comic books. They have a distinct character and anointing that just draws souls in.
