For over 2 decades I have grown in trust that the King James Bible I hold in my hands is the preserved words of God in English. It brings faith to those who trust its inspired words. But there has been a disturbing trend.
Numerous Bible-believers have written to me in distress on the same theme: “Is my King James Bible pure? Which King James Bible is a pure one?” They have been told their King James is hopelessly corrupt, and only a “pure King James Bible” is what God will bless. Then they are given a list of differences and told they seriously affect their faith.
The truth is, that list is what messes with their faith. They were doing just fine, before some well-meaning people brought up the issue of something called “The Pure Cambridge Edition King James Bible,” or PCE for short.
