COVID restrictions are easing...

Let’s ramp up our evangelism!

A year after much of the U.S. entered strict lockdowns and governments tried to interrupt our freedom of evangelism, we are now seeing more and more communities lift restrictions making tract distribution easier once again.

Several states have lifted their mask mandates and are restarting their economies. Other states are planning to follow.

This presents an opportunity for us to get back to our mission, the task Jesus gave to us before leaving Earth: “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” Mark 16:15

For many of us, this still is not easy. But it is so very important.

In 2020, the pandemic caused many people to fear because of the lack of direction and the ability to plan where their lives were headed. People are searching for answers and many decided to seek out “alternative methods” to help them cope and try to predict the future. Astrology, tarot cards and other spiritual readings are being sought out by people looking for support and self-knowledge.

According to Google Trends, searches for “birth chart” and “astrology” both hit five-year peaks in 2020, and many professional astrologers report that business took off under lockdown. The Covid-19 crisis turned the interest in astrology into a $2.2 billion industry.

Charm Torres, an astrologer in Toronto, Canada, explains the surge of interest: “People were forced to really sit down with themselves and reflect on what their life was about and where their head was.”

For us Bible believers, this is tragic news because we know these people are being tricked by Satan and are putting their trust in worldly things, instead of the Creator who loves and died for them.

Soul winners, this is our time to be bold for the Lord and ramp up our evangelism efforts!

The only hope for this dying world is the Gospel. We have the answers that they need, we just have to give it to them.
